Massachusetts Royalty at Against the Tide Events!

The recently crowned Mrs. Massachusetts International, Laura Ferguson from Hanson, MA, will continue on to the final competition for the Mrs. International 2013 title in Chicago. Laura has generously agreed to make an appearance at and assist with both of the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition’s (MBCC) annual statewide Against the Tide fundraising events in Hopkinton and Brewster. She will be leading the competitive swim component of the event as well as announcing the countdown to the events!

Laura Ferguson, age 29, is a stepmother of two and married to Richard Ferguson Jr., who couldn’t be more proud of his wife and her accomplishments. She currently resides in Hanson with her family. Laura graduated from Johnson & Wales University and shortly after, received her Massachusetts State Horseback Riding Instructor License in 2004. Between her many responsibilities, she enjoys spending time with her horses. Despite Laura’s busy schedule, she is committed to making this year’s Against the Tide events a true success. As her platform in the Mrs. International competition, Laura promotes early detection and medical care, causes which perfectly align with MBCC’s goal to understand the environmental causes of breast cancer in the context of prevention.

Mrs. Massachusetts International explained, “I am pleased to be leading this event because of MBCC’s goal of breast cancer prevention for future generations.”

Laura will also be starting her own swim team for the events and would like to invite members of the public to join or make a pledge to her fundraising team, Team Royal:
