“An Update on PFAS in Food Packaging” followed by The Margo Simon Golden Award Ceremony – Recording from January 20, 2022

Thank you for participating

On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC), and with gratitude on behalf of the Golden family, we want to thank you for participating with us in the Margo Simon Golden Memorial Webinar and the presentation of the Distinguished Service Award in her name given to Dr. Gwen Collman.

Additionally, we would like to thank Dr. Blum, Dr. Schaider, and Dr. Maffini for providing such valuable information during the “PFAS in Food Packaging” webinar that preceded the ceremony.

As long-time Board member and Board President of MBCC, Margo was the heart and soul of our organization. Among the many ways Margo contributed to MBCC, she played an integral role in the development of two of MBCC’s signature programs: Let’s Talk Prevention: Reducing Toxic Exposures community education program and the Let’s Talk Prevention: Actions You Can Take environmental health education program for students.

The Margo Simon Golden Fund will support expansion of these two programs, and will help to ensure that MBCC can continue to pursue its unique mission of preventing environmental causes of breast cancer through community education, research advocacy, and changes to public policy. If you are in a position to do so, your contribution to the Margo Simon Golden Fund will be gratefully received.

Margo is very much missed by all of us, and in her name, we pledge to carry on the mission that she so fervently worked toward and supported.

Thank you for sharing in our work and for honoring the memory of Margo Simon Golden.
