Dear MBCC Supporters,
As an intern at the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC), I have had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible work this organization does to protect public health and the environment. From advocating for stricter regulations on harmful chemicals to providing essential educational resources, MBCC is truly dedicated to preventing breast cancer before it starts. Working with a team so deeply committed to this cause has been eye-opening and inspiring. It has reinforced the importance of addressing the environmental factors linked to breast cancer, a mission that is more critical now than ever before.
I have always been passionate about protecting public health and ensuring the safety of our communities. This drive led me to pursue a graduate degree in public health following several years in working in emergency response. During my time as an intern with MBCC, I have come to deeply appreciate how MBCC’s work addresses the root causes, particularly the environmental factors that increase risk. It’s been an eye-opening experience to see how vital prevention is in truly protecting individuals and families. My background in emergency response taught me the importance of acting swiftly in times of crisis, but through my time here, I’ve learned that preventing a crisis before it begins is just as crucial.
MBCC’s efforts have made a tangible difference in communities across Massachusetts and beyond. Whether it’s through our annual events, such as Against the Tide, or persistent push for legislative change, MBCC is relentless in its pursuit of a healthier, safer world. I am honored to have spent the past spring and summer as an intern with MBCC. This organization is rare and plays a critical role in the important work of prevention education and research advocacy.
MBCC’s vital work can only continue with the support of donors like you. Your contributions directly fund our programs, outreach efforts, and advocacy, enabling MBCC to take on powerful issues and fight for the changes that can save lives. If it is within your means, I humbly ask that you please consider donating. Every dollar you give brings us closer to a future where fewer individuals and families have to face the devastating impact of breast cancer. Together, we can drive the change needed to protect the health of current and future generations.
Thank you for standing with MBCC and for your commitment to a world without breast cancer.
