Dear Against the Tide Friend,
Thank you so much for being a part of Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition’s 2025 Against the Tide events, the 33rd year at Hopkinton and the 26th on Cape Cod. Whether you joined us as a participant, volunteer, donor, or beach vendor, your incredible support helped make both events unforgettable.
We are truly grateful for the energy, dedication, and community spirit you brought to the events.
As you know, Against the Tide is more than just a fundraising event, it’s a powerful demonstration of what we can accomplish together in the effort towards breast cancer prevention. At MBCC, we believe in going beyond awareness to focus on prevention — because only about 5–10% of breast cancers are linked to inherited mutations like BRCA1 and BRCA2. That’s why we work every day to educate the public about environmental exposures that increase the risk of breast cancer and other diseases. Your involvement fuels this mission.
With your help, we’re able to expand our outreach, offer accessible educational tools in multiple languages, and deliver free webinars featuring scientists and public health experts — all aimed at protecting current and future generations.
We need your support now more than ever to ensure this critical work continues. But today, we simply want to say: thank you. You are an essential part of our mission and we are so proud to stand alongside you.
If you’d like to continue supporting this important work, fundraising pages will remain open through October 1, 2025. Visit www.mbcc.org/against-the-tide and click the large blue button for the event you’re supporting. On the right side of the Race Roster event page, click the blue “DONATE NOW“ button to contribute to the event, a team, or an individual.
You can also make donations directly at mbcc.org/donate, selecting “Against the Tide” in the Donation Category and including a note if your donation is for a team or individual.
Donations by mail can be sent to: Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition, P.O. Box 202. Franklin, MA 02038.
Thank you again for standing with us. Your commitment helps amplify MBCC’s voice as we work toward a world where future generations are not threatened by this disease.
We couldn’t do this without you.
With heartfelt thanks and enduring appreciation,

Cheryl Osimo
