Dear MBCC Supporter,
For over two decades, Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) has focused on a unique mission: to eliminate the environmental causes of breast cancer through community education, research advocacy, and changes to public policy.
In my work as an architect, I am seeing the building industry catch up with MBCC’s long-standing message that we must reduce toxins and carcinogens in our built environment. But how can we make sure that MBCC’s important environmental messages continue to be heard by regulators, policymakers, and by the manufacturers who put toxic chemicals in their products?
You can make a difference by registering and fundraising for MBCC’s 2016 Against the Tide events on June 18 in Hopkinton, MA and/or on August 20 in Brewster, MA. Your support will provide the critical funds necessary to ensure that we will improve our environment and leave it toxin- and disease-free for future generations.
Whether you participate in Against the Tide by swimming, running, walking, kayaking, or just by fundraising alone, you provide support for MBCC’s mission. I urge you to contact your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to let them know how they can help support this effort towards a better environment for all. You are the voice for eliminating cancer-causing chemicals from our environment and you provide the funds for MBCC to continue their important work towards the prevention of breast cancer and improving health in general. The Against the Tide website provides helpful tips for your fundraising efforts. Please click here.
Please join me in making the 2016 Against the Tide fundraising events the most successful ever. To register and for more information, please visit www.mbcc.org/swim or call 1-800-649-MBCC (6222).
Sincerely,
Diane Sokal
