Join Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) as we host Dr. Laurel Schaider, Ph.D., Senior Scientist at Silent Spring Institute, Representative Jack Patrick Lewis (D, 7th Middlesex), and Senator Michael Moore (D, Millbury) for a discussion on the challenges of removing toxics from food packaging.
Dr. Schaider will discuss the health impact of PFAS and the importance of PFAS legislation.
Representative Lewis and Senator Moore will discuss their respective bills HD.2071 – An Act to ban the use of PFAS in food packaging and SD.1120 – An Act relative to chemicals in food packaging, and will share the steps residents can take to help affect public policy.
Dr. Barbara Malkas, Ed.D., MBCC Board President and Superintendent of North Adams Public Schools will be the moderator.
