On October 21st we hosted an educational forum with Representative Paul K Frost (R-Auburn) for Massachusetts state Representatives and Senators. At the forum we discussed the need to expand water quality research in Massachusetts. Dr. Laurel Schaider, who leads water quality research at our sister organization, Silent Spring Institute, attended the forum to present their ongoing research on water contaminants on Cape Cod and priority areas for water research in other parts of the state.
The event was a huge success! We were more than pleased with the turnout. The forum itself was co-hosted by 24 MA legislators but many other state senators and representatives attended.
