As Mother’s Day Approaches

Dear Friends in Prevention,

I hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well. As Mother’s Day approaches, we stop to celebrate and honor the mothers, grandmothers, and caregivers who have empowered and supported us throughout our lives. We also cherish and honor the memories of those we have lost, as their strength and courage have deeply touched each and every one of us.

For the past three decades, Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) has had the privilege of working closely with scientists, families, volunteers, board members, and many others who share the same goal — breast cancer prevention. Today, a woman faces a 1 in 8 risk of developing breast cancer in her lifetime. Through community education, research advocacy, and changes to public policy, we are very proud of the impact we have made. And yet, we know that there is still much more work to be done.

With your ongoing support, one milestone at a time, we will continue our mission to create positive change in the lives of our children, grandchildren, and future generations. We hope that you will consider making a donation today in honor of those we have lost and for all mothers who we hope will never develop breast cancer.
