2024 – MBCC continued to advocate for the elimination of harmful chemicals from a wide range of consumer products, including children’s items, firefighting gear, food packaging, cookware, personal care products, carpets and rugs, upholstered furniture, and fabric treatments.
- S.2902, “An Act Relative to the Reduction of Certain Toxic Chemicals in Firefighter Personal Protective Equipment,” passed.
- The law was signed by Gov. Maura Healey on August 15, 2024.
2023 – MBCC campaigned to remove toxic chemicals from children’s products and other consumer products including firefighter protective gear, food packaging, cookware, personal care products, carpets and rugs, upholstered furniture, and fabric treatments.
2022 – Along with our campaign to eliminate PFAS in food packaging, MBCC campaigned to remove toxic chemicals from children’s products.
