On Tuesday April 24th, the film, “A Chemical Reaction” will be shown at the First Parish in Needham. This film is the story of a small town in Canada that won the right to ban toxic lawn pesticides and the court case that went all the way to the Supreme Court in Canada. After the showing, three expert panelists will lead a discussion and answer questions.
Chip Osborne, Founder and President of Osborne Organics, leads the charge in the Town of Marblehead. He will tell us how easy it is to “go organic.” Sara Wylie, Director of PLOTS, will discuss the harmful effects of pesticides and our health. Ellen Fine, Founder of the LEAH Collective, will explain how her organization has lead advocacy efforts in several New England communities to change policy and current legislation. This screening is sponsored by the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition.
We hope you will consider attending this FREE program. Seating is limited so it is best to register in advance at http://april24achemicalreaction.eventbrite.com
