How do I participate in Against the Tide virtually?

As a virtual participant, you can choose to swim, run, walk, paddle, or kayak on a course or safe body of water of your own choosing. You pick the location, the day, and the time to complete your event!

How do I register for an Against the Tide virtual event?

Please click here and click on the event date you would like to register for.

How much is registration?

Individual Registration is $40 and a Family Registration is $100 for up to 5 family members.

When should I complete my event component?

Participants will have an 8-day window to complete their activity, (for example June 20th – 27th for the June Virtual Event). We encourage you to take pictures of your participation and send them to us to be included in MBCC’s Event Photo Album which will be shared both on the MBCC website and Facebook page. Please send all photos to info@mbcc.org

How do I submit my finish time to be included on the Event Results Page?

For those of you participating in the competitive or recreational swims, 5K or 10K runs, Aquathon, half marathon (September event only), and full marathon (September event only) you will receive a custom link from Second Wind Timing so you can submit your finish time to be included on the Event Results Page. Second Wind Timing will send your custom link to the email you provided during registration. All finish times must be submitted to Second Wind Timing by 5 p.m. on the last day of the 8-day participation window.

Do I have to submit my finish time?

No, submitting your finish time is optional.

How do I get a Participant Fun Pack?

All virtual participants will receive a Participant Fun Pack, including an event t-shirt, bib or swim cap, participant medal, and sponsor items. MBCC will appreciate it if you would please consider making a $10 donation towards the shipping and handling expenses related to the Participant Fun Packs.  This donation can be made at the end of the registration process. Thank you!

How do I start fundraising?

You can create a fundraising page on the FirstGiving website when you register for Against the Tide. Once your page is created, you can invite people to visit that fundraising page and make secure donations directly through the site.
