VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Please read the descriptions below. If you’d like to volunteer, send an email to cherylosimo@comcast.net indicating your name, address, phone number and if you would like to volunteer at the Hopkinton or Cape Cod event, or both.

We will try to make the best match possible between what you’d like to do and the opportunities we have available. Thank you.

Before the event

Outreach and Participant Recruitment

Recruit participants and organize teams to participate in Against the Tide. Some phone work involved. You can work from home or the Against the Tide office. Spread the word about Against the Tide by placing posters in retail locations, health clubs, etc. in neighborhoods across Greater Boston and Cape Cod. Great if you have a car.

Public Relations

Follow-up and provide information for public relations inquiries.

Phone work involved.

At the event

Site Crew

Set-up, decorate and clean-up the event site. Opportunities both the day before, and on the morning of the event.

Cheerleaders

Greet our participants with a big welcome and cheer them on as they cross the finish line. Enthusiasm required!

Registration

Sign-in participants, collect pledges and distribute incentives on the morning of the event.
