MBCC Extends Thank You for Weekend of Prevention

The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our “Weekend of Breast Cancer Prevention.”

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, hundreds of volunteers, participants and sponsors came together on the beach in DCR’s Nickerson State Park to participate in MBCC’s 16th annual Against the Tide event. Then bright and early on Sunday, August 16th,  a dedicated team of 17 runners became MBCC’s first team to participate in the New Balance Falmouth Road Race.

“This Weekend of Prevention was an opportunity for the citizens of Cape Cod and throughout Massachusetts to work hand-in-hand with MBCC to change the legacy of breast cancer for future generations,” says MBCC’s Executive Director, Cheryl Osimo, Co-founder of Silent Spring Institute.

All proceeds from Against the Tide and the MBCC Falmouth Race team enables MBCC to provide better community education, greater research advocacy, and additional changes to public policy in order to move toward our goal of breast cancer prevention.

Without you – our volunteers, athletes and sponsors – there is no us! And, so we thank each and every one of you who participated in this momentous weekend. You inspire us to press on toward a world where breast cancer no longer robs families of their loved ones.
