Event Activities & Schedule

Swim

Our 1 mile swim event consists of your choice of either a competitive or recreational heat. The competitive swim begins at 8:00AM, and swimmers have the option of doing just the swim or doing the Aquathlon and transitioning into the 5K or 10K run directly after the competitive swim. The recreational swim begins at 9:45AM. All swimmers will be in proximity to a safety kayak should the need for help arise. A time clock is available on the beach at both events for all swimmers to be timed, and all swimmers’ times will be captured by event officials and listed on our website post-event. It is important that you check in with our event officials managing these clocks in order to ensure that they have captured your time.

Run

Our 5K runs in both Hopkinton and Brewster are either competitive or recreational, although all runners are timed, and results will be posted after the event. These runs take place on stroller- and wheelchair-friendly paved roadways within each of the state parks. The routes are clearly marked.

Walk

Our 3 mile walk in both Hopkinton and Brewster begins at 8:50AM on paved, stroller- and wheelchair-friendly roadways within each of the state parks.

Kayak

Our 2 mile kayak event begins at 10:45AM. There are a number of complimentary kayaks available to our participants by our generous sponsors. This is a very popular event, however, and to be guaranteed use of a provided kayak, you must register as early as possible to be assigned one. Boating in Boston is our Hopkinton kayak sponsor and Goose Hummock is our Cape Cod kayak sponsor. After all the complimentary kayaks have been reserved, you will need to bring your own kayak (we can provide assistance in loading/unloading). We encourage anyone who has their own kayak to bring it for their own use.
