Welcome to 31 Days!

Welcome to the 31 Days Towards Breast Cancer Prevention campaign!  The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition is working towards shifting activities during October away from general breast cancer “awareness” and towards action for breast cancer PREVENTION.  While many vital and life-saving resources are dedicated to early detection and finding a medical cure, only 1% of the billions of breast cancer dollars raised are directed towards primary prevention of the disease.  We believe that PREVENTION IS THE CURE.

If this doesn’t make sense to you, know that you can help change this by following our 31 DAYS TOWARDS BREAST CANCER PREVENTION campaign – kicking off TODAY!  Given that breast cancer rates have doubled over the past 40 years; shifting towards prevention will make a big difference in the lives of all of us.

Please follow us on our campaign website, on Facebook and Twitter for daily tips, actions, research, events, blogs and more as we shift the conversation about breast cancer towards prevention.

And if you’re not already signed up for our e-newsletters, sign up now to receive weekly summaries of our campaign.

Given that breast cancer rates in Massachusetts are nearly 10% higher than the national average, it’s so important that we tackle this important issue here and take ACTION TOWARDS PREVENTION!

Be Well!
