Video Action – Safer Alternatives

The Safer Alternatives Bill continues to be a top priority for MBCC.  As we’ve been highlighting all month, far too many chemicals with links to breast cancer are on the market in consumer products and services found in around our home.  This legislation sets up a program to change that by assisting businesses in switching from more toxic chemicals to safer alternatives when they exist.  Seems like a no-brainer, right?

We enjoy a lot of support from the Massachusetts Legislature on this bill.  The bill received lots of endorsements during its public hearing in July and we hope to see the bill be passed favorably out of the Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture committee soon however, this bill has many more hoops to jump through on it’s journey towards passage.
