Free Bus Transportation from Boston to Statewide Against the Tide Event on June 18

Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition is pleased to announce that Local Motion of Boston is providing free bus transportation for residents in and around Boston to our 24th annual statewide Against the Tide Swim, Kayak, Walk, Run, and/or Aquathon event on Saturday, June 18 in Hopkinton, MA (45 minute bus ride). All proceeds will benefit work towards breast cancer prevention.

The bus will depart at 6:15 AM from Gate 11 at South Station Bus Terminal (700 Atlantic Avenue, Boston, MA 02111) on June 18 to take participants to DCR’s Hopkinton State Park. The bus will leave the park at 12:15 PM after event end to transport participants back to South Station Bus Terminal, Gate 11. Limited bus seats will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Against the Tide is a unique multi-sport event consisting of 1-mile competitive and recreational swims, 2-mile kayak, 3-mile walk, USATF certified 5k/10k runs, and an Aquathon (competitive swim followed by choice of a 5k/10k run). Individuals of all ages and abilities are welcome and can choose to take part in 1, 2, or 3 of these exciting activities. You can register as an individual or as part of a team. Registration is $40 per adult per event activity and $25 per student per event activity. Participants are encouraged to fundraise beyond these suggested minimums to benefit Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition’s unique prevention work. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest athletes and top fundraisers.
